Ability to Grow

APT’s plant, warehouse, and offices share a location and have a combined area of nearly 35,000 square feet. This facility sits on 70+ acres less than one mile from our peat resource.  We currently have 320 acres of land under permit and are in the process of adding an additional 160 acres of land adjacent to the current resource.  At our current production throughput, there is over a 400-year supply of peat resources on the combined 480 acres.

The management team is also working with the State of Minnesota, Aitkin County, Cass County, Crow Wing County, and the Army Corps of Engineers in the identification and development of other peat resources.  Over 15% of Minnesota’s surface area is covered in peat.  While not all of this is the reed sedge peat necessary to produce our products, there are more than enough peat resources to service our current and future customer’s needs.
