Founded by a group of investors in 2003, American Peat Technology began its start by producing peat-based products for the legume inoculant industry.  With the help of our customers, APT was able to develop a granular media to add to the BioAPT line of products.  The need for a natural microbe carrier is increasing as the world continues to pursue a more sustainable approach to plant health and crop yield.  APT has successfully positioned itself as a leader in providing natural and environmentally beneficial products to fill this growing need. 

APT is also pioneering many new “peat technologies.”  Peat is an amazing natural resource with much potential and we here at APT continue to push forward in the research and development of new uses and products for this wonderful resource.  One area APT continues to pioneer is the use of reed sedge peat in the treatment of contaminated water, and APTsorb is the result of that effort.  APTsorb effectively removes dissolved heavy metals from both water and soil applications, and we are actively working on developing new products to add to the APTsorb line of products.
