APT’s Strategic Relationship with Natural Resource Research Institute

APT is fortunate, not only with our proximity to reed sedge peat, but also to the University of Minnesota Duluth and its Natural Resources Research Institute (NRRI). APT’s strategic partnership with the Institute spans the past five years and includes a service agreement and two research agreements where the NRRI’s research doctorate chemist, Igor Kolomitsyn, works hand-in-hand with APT’s scientists and engineers.  The NRRI has over 200 employees that cross many disciplines and has been a leader in research and understanding of peat and its chemistry for more than 20 years. The NRRI extends APT’s chemistry research and can access additional NRRI expertise which includes geological surveying, patent expertise and comprehensive data mining capabilities.  APT looks forward to many more years of strong research, development and collaboration with the NRRI.
